What foods are bad for thyroid?

Thyroid hormone is very important for the body which helps in repairing the cells.

Hypothyroidism occurs when thyroid hormone is produced in small amounts and in hyperthyroidism when it is produced in large quantities.

The risk of thyroid is 10 times higher in women than in men.

Swelling of the throat, hair loss and weight gain are the signs of this disease.

To reduce or prevent the risk of this disease, one must also make lifestyle changes by focusing on diet.

Here’s a list of foods that are bad for thyroid:

Soybeans
Soybeans are rich in phytoestrogens which increase the thyroid hormone in the body. Excessive intake of phytoestrogens can put thyroid patients in trouble.

Cabbage and cauliflower
Currently, hazardous chemicals are also being used to increase the production of these vegetables.

Ordinary people also boil it well before eating it and throw it away.

Because whatever season the vegetables are in, they will come in somewhat boiled water.

Each includes green vegetables in the diet.

But thyroid patients should not forget to include cauliflower and cabbage in the diet.

Salt
